About the programs
We offer high-quality programs for children and families who require care out of school hours; including both before and after school, on pupil free days where children are not required to attend school during the week and throughout the holidays, located on the school’s grounds.
The YMCA NT Before and After School Care and Pupil-free Days programs are designed to inspire a lifelong love of learning in all children who attend.
Safety comes first
The YMCA NT takes its obligations to protect children, young people and other vulnerable people who use our facilities, very seriously.
The YMCA NT strictly adheres to all the requirements under the Care and Protection of Children Act and the Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Law. All educators are required to hold a current Working with Children Check Card (Ochre Card) and a National Police Check. All educators undertake Safeguarding Training and Mandatory Reporting training.
As well being externally reviewed by the Australian Childhood Foundation to ensure that our services are safe for all young people, the YMCA NT has introduced a bespoke ‘Feel Safe, Be Safe’ safety framework and principles which aspire to ensure that all children and young people are safe and feel safe at the YMCA NT, in their families and in their communities.
“You have always had excellent staff who really care and go the extra mile to make life easier for families.”
